René Stenberg Riis is a Danish photographer based in Berlin, Germany who specializes in food and still fife photography.
With more than 20 books on the topic of food and wine, some of them prizewinners, Rene is one of the most interesting food photographers in recent years. His style is perfect for editorial work and has a very Nordic touch.
René also works with star-chefs all over the world like the renowned chef René Redzepi from Noma, considered one of the top restaurants in the world. Other chefs include: Alvin Leung(Bo Innovation, Hong Kong), Juan Amador(Amador, Mannheim), Kevin Fehling(Belle Epoque, Travemünde), Daniel Achilles(Reinstoff, Berlin) and Eckart Witzigmann.
On a regular basis René Riis works for relevant food magazines such as BEEF!, FOUR Magazine, Feinschmecker, Essen und Trinken, Eckart oder, Gastro (Denmark), Stern, Womens Health, Australian Gourmet Traveller, GQ, Wallpaper* Magazine, Figaro, and Elle Decoration (Japan) among many others.
His commercial clients include Edeka, Finax, Coca-Cola, Homann, Becel, Samsung and Rosendahl. He was also an invited lecturer for the past edition of the FoodPhoto Festival in Vejle, Denmark.
